Experience
Below describes some of my experiences along with pictures!
SproutLabs
Back End and Hardware Developer Internship
January 2022 - June 2022
SproutLabs created a device to record data from the soil in farms, and after analyzing that data it
informs the farmer when the best times are to water the crops, along with how much water is needed.
Here are some things I worked on in the project:
- Developed CRUD microservices for 4 data types using Golang
- Assisted in executing a migration of existing backend to a GCP serverless architecture
- Created end-to-end tests using Node.js and unit tests using Golang for each of the 4 microservices
- Implemented a sleep algorithm in C++ to improve device energy efficiency by 20% and
discovered intervals for the node to record and send data through the
Particle API
Sprouty device to record data in the field.

Grand Amazon Lodge and Tours
Co-founder
December 2018 - Present
My family and I visited the Amazon Rainforest in Peru in 2016. We fell in love with the area and all
decided to start a lodge in the rainforest. We try our best to keep the lodge as enviromentally friendly
as possible, and strive to positively impact the local communities with jobs, medicines, and medical
treatment. Here is some of the work I've done to help:
- Aid 2 local communities in Peru with food, work, and medical treatment
- Design and maintain the Grand Amazon website; accelerated
page load times by reducing image and video sizes by 50%
- Facilitate outreach programs to help nearby communities, such as the development
of rain catchers for clean drinking water or building a safe dock for boats
The website I helped create on Wordpress, grandamazontours.com.
